Here below are my layouts:

 Beat the Banana 2015

I used the embroidery hoop as the frame for this layout. This is a 10" inner hoop and basically it is a perfect circle without an opening. We joined the charity run called " beat the banana" this year and my son won his first prize!

I draw around the edge of the circle with my newly bought Sharpie Fine Point pen and i love how it turns out! on the other hand, are these crocheted fruits cute? These are the biggest surprise HKMC give us this time and they are from our local designer! oh, i love the cooperation with local supplies.

I write my journaling into this yellow tag, which is hide behind the photo.

I used the vellum for the banner. color matches the theme, and vellum soften the whole background.

Life is Good

This pink background is my favourite paper in this collection. I have to do something with it. I chose a recent photo we took at the beach with her big smile!

I created a three-layered leave with green vellum as base, it helps pop up the leaves. I also use the yellow vellum to matt the photo.

I also use two different color paper doilies under the photo , and two banners to create layers on the layout.  A yellow bowtie is definitely catches all the attention.

The title comes from the sticker sheet. i love this handwriting style and the size is perfect!.

A small detail under the bottom and balanced the layout.

Simple Day

This layout i used the stencil, but only a single flower. I created my own petal by hand draw on the plastic sheet and cut it out. Using distress ink to ink the pattern.

Another super cute crocheted grapes!

Cut some small circles and layer them together with stickers. Some random inked flowers are everywhere.

Inked the cardboard shape into yellow and stick the pineapple vellum in the middle.

So Pretty

For this layout, i cut the pineapple vellum into 11" square and layer it on top of the green background paper. Cut a circle to mat the photo.

The title comes from the sticker pack and the gold is so gorgeous !

Hand cut the circle and insert it under the vellum to create layer.

Add other embellishment - washi tape, clips, etc.

HK Memory Chest May 2015 Kit

hi everyone, first I would like to congrate HK Memory Chest's designer Belly Lau has been selected as Graphic 45 and Maya Road's design teams in the year of 2015-2016! She is a very talented paper crafter and a hard working person. We are all looking forward for her amazing design in the near future!

today i would like to introduce you of May kit from HK Memory Chest. This kit is very special with watercolor papers from Cosmo Cricket, i had a lot of fun to play with it.

The collection is called Just Add Watercolors, they are printed with gold and clear foil resist. like the name says, you just add watercolours and watch the magic happen!

Let's see what's included in this magic kit:
Paper
Cosmo Cricket Paper Pad 12″X12″

Gold Twine
Felt Pom Pom – Assorted Colors

Here are two of my design team layouts to this kit:

Amazing You
This is a project life style layout - pieces of square, rectangle cut papers with different patterns are collaged together to create the background. i drawed double sewing lines to create a more clear outline of each puzzle.

Actually i painted the centre circle in different colors as well as a heart, but it is finally covered by my amazing girl : ) and that's fine.

This Wood Veneer Hoops from Crate paper, is so cute and comes in different sizes to choose from.

Beside adding watercolour on the paper, i also draw lines to connect foil dots to make it more interesting.

And of course, cannot miss out my hand draw Zentangles on each piece.

At the end it comes with my handwritting title using the watercolour!

Enjoy Now

This layout I would like to do something about painting, rather than just add watercolor. I referred to a painting I did last month as below.
and start drawing on this foil resist paper for the blue banner, pink flower, green leafs and the yellow cactus. Then cut them out.
The best thing about this resist paper is, you just need to paint in a normal way but the pre-designed pattern will just turn out automatically.

You just need to add watercolor, darnken the edges and highlight the outline. Easy, nice and it is personalised.I especially like those small hearts on this yellow cactus, so i use my pencil to trace the outline again.

This stamp is the add on material to this kit.

It is a very interesting kit and i think it is worth to try. HK Memory Chest's kit is always a surprise: )

I had so much fun in playing with this kit. Here below are three DT layouts and hope you will get inspired.

What's For Breakfast?

This layout i used white paper as background to bring out the color. On the other side,  the transparent washi tape around the circle will show clearly on white paper.

I tear apart the cloth pin so it won't be too thick. Stamp around dates in different colors all over the background paper to make it colorful.

I cut two different size circles and layer them together, upper one with drawing stitches lines to make it outstanding from the botton one.

This little gold glitter bow tie is so cute to add anywhere on your layout. Red Buttons are equally cute, and they comes in different sizes and designs!

There are two sets of lettering in this kit. One is chipboard letters and the other is wood letters. They makes this kit more interesting.

For the washi tape, i cut them apart so i can stick them like another circle.

Eat Eat Eat

This layout i used Feb kit's sketch by HK Memory Chest's designer Grace. I love this sketch as it creates layers by sewing different papers together which make an interesting background.

I cut out the cute  critter from paper and insert  them between paper and sewing lines. They looks cute and seems they are going to feed my little princess.

cloth pin and enamel arrows add dimensions onto this layout. Those pink and yellow word stickers are perfecly match the photo.

love the pack of brads with very nice design.

My First Radish

For this layout, i just simply line up three rectangle cutouts plus embellishments as finishing.

The cartoon images on this paper is so cute - he is carrying a big spoon!

I choose a big button which i can stick a puff sticker into it. red button is always pops up anywhere you put it.

i painted the wood letter into yellow to fit the paper better. just string them up for the title.
