Hey Sweetie

I used the Sweet and Sour paper navy side as background, handout two hexagons from Milk and Honey to create the contract base.

Here are some close-ups for the details. I draw stitch lines alongside the hexagon to create layer. The black leave were cut from the transparency paper Black and White.

There are another two pieces from the transparency paper, which is good for layering.

These Are The Days

This is a multi-photo page. I also used the solid color background. The good thing is to easy matching multi photo.

Besides the layering in paper, I also add some extra accents randomly, sequins, pearls, and even hand draw little cute shapes.

Baby Gone Styled

This is the third page i used the solid color background. See how much I love them! This one i gessoed the centre  to pop up the photo.

The yellow paper sharpen up the whole page, plus this cute little glasses - same one in the photo!

I coloured  the letter "styled" in hot pink by Sharpie.

Spread some watercolor randomly and add some wood embellishments to finish the page.

This is a very nice kit and you should give it a try!

See you at the crop,

Together

This die-cut frame cardstock is very special with the vintage outlook. I cutout a butterfly background on the base to create dimension.

Here is the close up of my butterfly, and the how-to process as below:

Draw the outline as per your cut-out shape. I used 3 color pencils to create the shading. Random stamping for the background.

I used this glitter paste from previous kit to create patten on my butterfly as per the stencil. You can choose any paste or gesso to match your background. This also create the shinny detail as well as dimension. Stick it down with dimensional foam tape and slightly curve the edges up to create layer.

Once the background is done, you can add your embellishments to finish the layout.

I think the black title is too dark so i traced it using a gold sharpie. Also add some liquid pearl from Ranger for an extra accent.

Remember Today

This is the second layout for this kit. Beautiful shabby chic papers with flowers and butterflies. I leave a narrow edge of red paper to created the frame look and dimension.

Again, i stenciled the pattern with Ranger distress ink and drawed the outline a bit off. also distress the papers with the same ink color. You can choose any color which matches your photo.

Here are another close-up of the background. I leave some pattern untraced  for more interesting.

Happy

I love this paper at the first sight. It is clean but with different shades of green. As soon as i saw it, i already realise it will match my daughter's favourite dress and this is where the layout idea comes from. We took a lot of photos when she wear this dress and she is always happy when she's on it.

As i can't choose one favourite photo out of a hundred, i just decided to use four which were taken in the same serious - She made many  funny poses here. Even photos are quite small, I positioned them separately in two opposite corners and use a large gold shinny lettering as title to create the balance.

You Make My World Better

This is a quick layout. One single photo in the centre and rounded by title and embellishments. It takes me about half hour.

I positioned the black feather underneath, fuzzy cut out lovely elephant and bear from another paper (which is super cute). Use circle punch to cut out colourful paper and add some easy drawings on top of each circle.

Similar design at the right hand side, plus wood veneers and gold stickers from the kit, as well as some stamping from Seven Paper Phrases roller stamp.

Love This Adventure

The third layout is easy too. simply cut out some papers into flags, squares, or rectangles and layer them together. Don't worry about some very nice design will be buried as layers always looks good. I also used the roller stamp starts on top of the paper to create a boarder.

Here above are some close-ups for this layout.

HK Memory Chest May 2015 Kit

hi everyone, first I would like to congrate HK Memory Chest's designer Belly Lau has been selected as Graphic 45 and Maya Road's design teams in the year of 2015-2016! She is a very talented paper crafter and a hard working person. We are all looking forward for her amazing design in the near future!

today i would like to introduce you of May kit from HK Memory Chest. This kit is very special with watercolor papers from Cosmo Cricket, i had a lot of fun to play with it.

The collection is called Just Add Watercolors, they are printed with gold and clear foil resist. like the name says, you just add watercolours and watch the magic happen!

Let's see what's included in this magic kit:
Paper

Cottage Living Stickers – Jewel
Cottage Living Jumbo Paperclips – Gold
Gold Twine
Felt Pom Pom – Assorted Colors

Here are two of my design team layouts to this kit:

Amazing You
This is a project life style layout - pieces of square, rectangle cut papers with different patterns are collaged together to create the background. i drawed double sewing lines to create a more clear outline of each puzzle.

Actually i painted the centre circle in different colors as well as a heart, but it is finally covered by my amazing girl : ) and that's fine.

This Wood Veneer Hoops from Crate paper, is so cute and comes in different sizes to choose from.

Beside adding watercolour on the paper, i also draw lines to connect foil dots to make it more interesting.

And of course, cannot miss out my hand draw Zentangles on each piece.

At the end it comes with my handwritting title using the watercolour!

Enjoy Now

This layout I would like to do something about painting, rather than just add watercolor. I referred to a painting I did last month as below.
and start drawing on this foil resist paper for the blue banner, pink flower, green leafs and the yellow cactus. Then cut them out.
The best thing about this resist paper is, you just need to paint in a normal way but the pre-designed pattern will just turn out automatically.

You just need to add watercolor, darnken the edges and highlight the outline. Easy, nice and it is personalised.I especially like those small hearts on this yellow cactus, so i use my pencil to trace the outline again.

This stamp is the add on material to this kit.

Craft Market Self-Inking Stamp  Love You To The Moon & Back

It is a very interesting kit and i think it is worth to try. HK Memory Chest's kit is always a surprise: )

Gift to Karina Li

Today I would like to share with you a gift I made to my friend who lives in Australia. She just had her first baby boy 7 months ago.
I used a paper box from my newly purchased wallet and decorate them by using patterned papers and stamps. It has a see-through area so it will be perfect to put your photos and even 3D flowers.

Here is the close-up. I also put some dry flowers so it looks more nature.
Here is a card made for my friend Karina Li. She moved to Australia for many years and actually I have not seen her for years. Luckly facebook bring us back together!
 Close-ups for the card:
 Inside of the card:

And finally comes the super little cute slipper for the boy!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will enjoy the gift!
